I’ve been considering not renewing my web hosting on GoDaddy when it comes up for renewal this fall. I’ve had this site since 2006 but I don’t really blog that often, most of my posting these days are posted on Google+. It’s not really worth the money to pay for web hosting especially when I can post the occasional blog post on the free WordPress site. Of course, I would still pay for the domain since it’s cheap and still use the email for some things.
For those that actually read my blog on a regular basis, I just wanted to inform you that I started a blog section over at my business web site where from time to time I will be posting tech tips, maybe some tricks but mostly just some tech information to hopefully draw more traffic to my site, and in turn, maybe, draw more potential clients needing some consulting. I will still post tech stuff here from time time also but that will mostly be personal tech.
If you are not already aware, my business site can be found here:
Just visit the blog section, or add it to your RSS reader, and watch out for new post.
I read Lifehacker quite regularly and found this article on selling items without using eBay or Craigslist from this past week pretty interesting. So I decided to start a site on WordPress, instead of Tumblr as the article recommended, to see how well it worked. You can find my site, Ed’s House of Wares, over here. So, go check it out and buy something.
I don’t know why I didn’t add this to my blog years ago but as you can see above I now have a photo gallery page. This photo gallery is made up of albums from my Picasa Web Album.
I’ve never won a contest nor been picked randomly in a lottery drawing but recently I participated in a simple forum post over at CC2K and won a free book, 999: Twenty-nine Original Tales of Horror and Suspense, and a $15 gift card to Barnes & Noble in their All Hallow’s Read Scary Book Giveaway. Now I can buy some digital books for my B&N Nook I got a few months back. I’m pretty excited about reading the analog book too.
My thanks to Beth Woodward and the gang over at CC2K for this fabulous prize. Go check out their site and participate in their forum.
I know I don’t really have an audience for my blog but I thought I would add this to my site anyhow.
It’s a tool you can use to share my blog post in your favorite social media site.
I kid you not when I tell you this was a transcribed voicemail to me courtesy of Google Voice this evening.
Again the last post to Twitter did not include a link. I shortened the prefix to see if that fixes the problem.
The last two post to Twitter did not include a link back to the post. Hopefully this one will.
The last post to Twitter did not include a link back to the post. I think it ran out of room so I removed some stuff from the prefix.
Hopefully this post will work right this time.
